Double the Frequency

Phase reversing is not my intention.
I am trying to pull an optical illusion.

By the Magic of television we now have two where there where one, episodes that is.
We are not pitch shifting sound or shifting light we just split it the one into parts.

We will have EP 01.1 & EP 01.2
On OUR NEW Youtube Channel = KVWorks1

There are a few very small tweaked but nothing of major proportion.

We wanted the Youtube experience to fit the length of the short attention span audience.

SIPPING SCI FI?

I want to sip and savor my sci fi in large blocks.



But YouTube is a wild west of viewing and we want to keep from being a ghost town of a channel.
SOOOO, we cut the episode into two nearly equal parts.













Episode 02 is aging in the big barrel in the warehouse. We will serve no SCI FI before it's time.


ETA is two weeks.
We will drop Frequency EP 02 before the NEW YEAR.

Speaking of 2013, I have listed a few things I'm looking forward to seeing.

Frequency Coldness

Here in NC we are not accustom to the cold. As a matter of fact, I used my ice scraper for the first time last week. I only used it once and my neighbor across the street did not need one on that morning. As a matter of fact, if was not too cold to clear the ice with the washer fluid.

All this is to say it is "f-ing" cold here. It was below 50 twice and I really don't like that.

Not this cold here -but it gets my visual across.

The cold has put  some outdoor scenes needed to finish EP 03 on hold.  When we get above 50 again we back out doors for a freak out and freak out scene #2. You will have to stay tuned to learn who and why we have a freakout.

Frequency head count

Writers truly do have the last word.

I have had many conversations with the writer about the current series's plot trajectory. I realized today that every character at some point has been killed off and then written back into the plot before the next production day. This amuses me.

Vexing the writer is not good.

Like the birth of Athena, Piper is concentrating on characters.

Today, the head count is still two leads and two main supporting characters as well as two reoccurring characters.





Stay tuned the head count may change depending on the writers mood and whim.

Frequency Post EP 01

The post process came to a crawl this week.

The color and audio post is work that is tedious for this impatient gal.
Plus I have contracted a terrible case of editor's elbow. Also known as tennis elbow.

This pain has effectively created a very real avoidance behavior pattern. I have switched to a track ball and moved the keyboard lower and the monitor higher. The ergonomic adjustment should be just the trick to keep the project moving.

On the other side of the office is where the audio sweetening happens. PK, who is the writer, is also a musician. Some folks may remember seeing the Kid Sister van rolling across the US in the late 90's and early 2000's. The music bed for those "special" scenes is in her loving hands.

I have to say that Frequency has prompted PK to dust off the guitar. I wouldn't be surprised if we reprise a few tracks from Kid Sister. BTW a hip hop artist has taken the name kid sister so if you google it you get her stuff. PK's band was way before this lass's career.

We made our goal plus 14% last night.  This is very exciting for us.

Truth is, it was only possible because we have awesome leading ladies.

What does Pi mean for Frequency?

Well, first off we were able to put Deanna in new a wardrobe piece. 

I do so love this sweater!

The next thing it means is we get to keep the kraft services table stocked for the cast and crew.

I'm thinking apples, other fruits and nuts will come back as well as hot non-carb options.

The cast is very good role models for the writer and producer. (I have lost 8 pounds since hanging with them. Not that you can tell.)

The last few days of our campaign are upon us.

We are very close < $600 to go to make our goal.     ------------------>

We are hoping to gain support from lgbt community interested in fighting amendment 1 in NC.

The film is being shot in NC and features lgbt leads and characters.

We are also hoping lost girl and heros fans are interested in our indy effort.

The X-files although very watchable with our two favorite agents, was not enough. The fan fic was fun but KV Works wants to put the subtext in the foreground. We make it the main text of the story.

Guess it's time for me to contribute to this bloggy thingy. So now the challenge, along with raising $'s for wardrobe and a larger food selection (peanut butter don't cut it), is getting more eps and filler writing done. Always a nerve wracking affair. Currently, I'm up to ep 6 with everything up to the ending sketched out but... things change. I'm lovin the webserial approach.

Frequency now with more lady curves

I wanted to make a quick entry to note that we have a new pitch video for the

INDIEGOGO campaign for our film FREQUENCY

Like I promised it has 50% more cowbell and 30% more lady curves!

My principal actors are such great people. I hope I did them justice with this very quick and dirty edit.

GOGO factor for Frequency-sci-fi

Yesterday we got the friendly gogo email indicating our factor was
down. :-\


I inherited a competitive spirit from my mother. Needless to say this did not please me. So, I made some changes to my focus and worked on getting a little movement on the indiegogo page for Frequency.

Wow, did I whip a frenzy. I moved our fund bar over the 60% mark. (see ------------>)

What I noticed while studying my analytics is that less than 10% of our contributors are lesbian.
I'm thinking this is a problem. How can we tip the scale and get some dyed in the wool dykes to contribute?
I need to go out this weekend and shake my money maker. I'm not sure where or how but this week I hope to move the circle of support back into the LGBT community.

With national coming out day October 11th, I'm thinking we have an opening to talk about our little project here in Durham NC. The one that was inspired to change the supporters of Amendment 1's mind set.

Watching the floor at the Pinhook- Dale must have seen a penny.
