Frequency Binge Watch event at Motorco Music Hall

We are asking the fans to invite people out to watch the series with creators and cast.
We will have trivia, and some fun in between moments to make this a fun event.

The original series was inspired by the NC anti-lgbt Amendment One in 2012.
KV Works wanted to make NC the gay filmmaking capitol of the south.

Frequency Subscribe Summer 2014

It is summer 2014 and we are busy busy busy putting together a feature length film of our series Frequency.

Why a film?
NCGLFF needed another title so we have accepted this CRAZY challenge.

Most feature films are edited over a year. We are tying to do it in a month. I know, crazy right? I guess kicking cancer's a$$ make anything feel possible.

The week started out by posting part 2 of "Just Friends."

Extra Frequency

This is has been a whirl wind of a month.
January has brought a few birthdays for cast and crew as well as as a few days in the edit room.

The edit sessions are furious. We have edit many pictures and some of the sound.
You will not believe how many sounds it takes to make a  bar sound like a bar.

The next episode is expected any day soon.

With the New Year many people will feel compelled to make life changes.

2012
Our life change came from last year's resolution. A simple resolution to meet more actors and make another film.
By April. we were fully committed to producing Intersect.

By May we decided to have the short film Intersect become Episode 4 of a larger piece. That larger piece is Frequency.
In November we posted Episode 01 and December brought Episode 02.







2013
We hope you will resolve to watch more independently produced films/webseries, like Frequency.
Frequency will roll out at least ten episodes this year. (maybe more)

KV Works & Team Frequency resolves to make more positive portrayals of lesbians in media.
With the passing of NC's Amendment  1, an anti-gay marriage amendment, KV Works is doing our part to make NC more LGBT friendly. What better to way to do it than making positive art of the lgbt community.

Emergency Frequency

Frequency Episode 2 "Just Friends" has some fun stuff and reveals the characters' connections.

We had fun shooting episode 2. It took us to the Pinhook and Cincinnati?

B. Takes the patient's number & makes an appointment in the future

Frequency Carrboro film festival

This Sunday team Frequency will be in Carrboro, Paris of the piedmont and first town in NC with an openly gay Mayor.   (FYI- Mayor Mike Nelson has since moved on to do other things.)

Mike, way back when he was Mayor.

Intersect Ep 4 of Frequency will screen at the Carrboro Film Festival. It is the dedicated to local filmmakers making short films.

Frequency EMT help

This weekend Frequency had a quick pick up scene in one of the subplots.

We had help from a very eager new comer. She played dead almost as well as Lisa Gagnon.
Lauren will likely appear among the mostly living in a later episode. <wink>

Day players are the best!

Tracy Walker was super great with the actual lines. Who knew so much talent was lurking in Durham.
Our Dale Shelley character was given more gruff lines for this scene. What do expect from the EMT in charge?

We had a city police officer wave as we worked on the side walk of a busy road through downtown. I'm glad our little gorilla'ed scene didn't get shut down.


On another note about Episode 1 - Music is still being thorny. Tonight there is a jam session to create a few new grooves just for the web series.

I'll let PK post who is part of the jam session.

I am so excited about this. Too bad I have to work tonight, and will miss the fun with the musicians.

Frequency last days

The last few days of our campaign are upon us.

We are very close < $600 to go to make our goal.     ------------------>

We are hoping to gain support from lgbt community interested in fighting amendment 1 in NC.

The film is being shot in NC and features lgbt leads and characters.

We are also hoping lost girl and heros fans are interested in our indy effort.

Scully - Reyes X-Files

The X-files although very watchable with our two favorite agents, was not enough. The fan fic was fun but KV Works wants to put the subtext in the foreground. We make it the main text of the story.

So we are making a venue to introduce to you Deanna and Claire our heroines.

We have had a bit of a flurry of activity on ye ole indiegogo campaign. Currently at 76% with 7 days left. To illustrate the point better I have added the pic above. Overused? I think not. Oh and next Friday we all get to go to the dentist office. It'll be fun. Trust me. - pip

So the number 9 has stalked me for quite some time and I just went ahead and decided to call it my lucky number. We have nine days left on on Indiegogo campaign and I'm hoping it means something good shall come our ways. I just added a 99 hz perk cause that's the kinda gal I am. -pip

Guess it's time for me to contribute to this bloggy thingy. So now the challenge, along with raising $'s for wardrobe and a larger food selection (peanut butter don't cut it), is getting more eps and filler writing done. Always a nerve wracking affair. Currently, I'm up to ep 6 with everything up to the ending sketched out but... things change. I'm lovin the webserial approach.

Pi in the Sky and Frequency

This weekend was marked by the longest sky jump by man.

We looked up to see this amazing and crazy event. It inspires us to keep dreaming of impossible realities such as the one in our film "Frequency."
A world where you may change your existence if you tune into the world around you.



This weekend Claire is working her beta waves in a new way. We put her in a happy place to she could tune into the right Frequency.
